Product Details Monensin 20% Huzhou International Trade Co., Ltd. Product Description: Monensin is the polyether ionophore antibiotic produced by fermentation of Streptomyces cinnamonensis. It is active against certain gram-positive microorganisms primarily against coccidian in broiler chickens. It does not interfere with hosts' development of acquired immunity to the majority of coccidial species. Monensin is a sodium and proton selective ionophore and is widely used as such in biochemical studies. In ruminants with developed forestomachs monensin increases the rate of weight gain and enhances feed efficiency. INDICATION 1. Used as an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens and growing turkeys. 2. Used as an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in cattle. 3. Used for improving feed efficiency in beef cattle, and increasing weight gain in growing cattle.
