Complete Solution:
Evolution is a High Resolution ink jet printer. It is the first in a series of printers that has been designed at a price competitive with contact style "roller coders" still being used in production facilities today. Evolution is complete and ready to install right out of the box. The system includes the mounting bracket, a hand held controller with tactile keypad for message entry and the printhead module with internal product sensor.

Inkjet Technology by Hewlett Packard:
Designed by Digital Design, the Evolution is powered with ink jet technology by Hewlett Packard. This combination gives you the benefits of an affordable, compact and efficient design coupled with the reliability of printhead technology by Hewlett Packard. Digital Design is an authorized HP PARTNER for HP Ink Jet Technology.

Optimum Print Resolution:
Evolution delivers board, highly legible and fully formed characters in a print resolution of 300dpi at production line speeds of up to 200 feet per minute (61m/min).

Variable Character Heights:
Standard within the system is the ability to print a one line message in 1/2" characters, or two lines of text in 7/32" high characters.

Ink Supply:
Built into the printhead is a 42cc ink reservoir. Once the ink in the cartridge is depleted, it can be removed, disposed of and a new ink cartridge inserted in just moments.

Add-On Print heads
Adding another printhead is as simple as sliding it on. You can attach up to three additional printhead on a single bracket by simply inserting the slide on one into the slot on the other.

Networking Capabilities
The hand held controller has the capability of controlling up to 32 individual printhead modules through the use of a RS485 data cable. Complete PC control on the EVOLUTION network through our EVOLUTION-NET software is available as an option.

Warranty:
All EVOLUTION hardware components are under warranty for one year.
